This review is just for the pastries, as I have not tried the pizza. Don't bother going anywhere else around here for treats, unless you're the sort that thinks of cookies and cupcakes when you hear the word 'bakery'. This place has an impressive variety of French pastries, croissants, etc., and all are done very well. The baguettes are excellent. I'm hoping they'll bring back the olive bread at some point...that was my first introduction to this place several years ago. We're willing to make a 30-minute drive on Sunday mornings to eat here. I'm convinced you can't find this quality and assortment anywhere in Boulder county.
This is 5 stars because of the baked goods. The wait and service element need work; that said, the baked goods are without flaw. The croissant was the best I've had in America, the Roman pizza slice was greedily consumed by my 5 year old, and the bread... It's a triumph. I was a baker in an artisan bakery for quite some time, I know good bread what I see it. They will work out the kinks of service, the somewhat inconvenient wait and set up is worth it.
Love the bread, love the pastries! The Pullman is my favorite loaf, and my favorite pastry is... any of them! Seriously, you can't go wrong. A little pricey but always such a treat. I never regret a single dollar spent there.
Absolutely the best bakery, bread in the US
The croissants is to die for!! Buttery and the size is bigger than my fist lol. We just went there for cakes.. it was very tasty. Need to go back to try more varieties
