We placed an order to go... The small cheese pizza was good (nothing special) the other pizza was a different crust, we picked our own toppings and it was delicious!!! They offer a lot of options for a build it yourself pizza. You pick your crust, pick your sauce, and the list of toppings are expansive! The even offer plant based proteins... The honey cheese bread was really good if it had a little more honey that would have sent it over the top!!! I would like to go back and dine in the next time we are in the area.
Beau Jo's is hands down our favorite pizza place. The honey whole wheat crust is top notch, and our gluten intolerant family member says the gluten free crust is among the best, and they aren't even a big pizza fan. The many sauces are flavorful and topping options are wide and varied. Our only issue is that this location is far from South Boulder so we don't do in as often as we used to when the Boulder location was here. And I forget they have a AAA discount almost every time. Oops. Any Beau Jo's you can visit is highly recommended!
We were meeting up with out of town family for dinner and they had never heard of Beau Jo's. Since 4 out of the 6 people in our party eat gluten free due to this allergy, we got the others to agree to a few hearty pizzas. Beau Jo's comes through once again with great service, great atmosphere, and a tasty pie...mine was gluten free! We enjoyed their excellent gf cheese bread (a rare treat) and several of the "build your own" pizzas. Everyone liked the experience, were all satisfied with their choices, and ended up trading slices in order to have a variety for dinner. Of course, you can't forget to save your crust, cover it in honey, and devour it at the end for a nice sweet treat.
Very few people were eating in the restaurant when we visited. It still took 45+ minutes from the time we walked in until the time we got our pizza. No one checked on us from the time we placed our order until the 35 minutes later that we actually received it. There were five people standing at the front desk doing little to nothing during that time. All in all service was pretty poor.
The pizza we ordered was nowhere near the quality it used to have before the pandemic. No salad bar and no soup was extremely disappointing. A $5 cup size salad with fay old lettuce is not acceptable. Sorry for this and review, but feel like Beau Jo's is gonna go out of business. Has that feel.....
