Great food but a little expensive.
A Mid-West classic come to Colorado. The frozen custard is always fresh, and they have so many flavors, and change each day. The fried fish is always crisp and hot and good with their fries and the Culver's Root Beer is so good. I always get the tenderloin sandwich and it comes with a HUGE slab of fried pork tenderloin fried super crisp on a soft bun. You have to ask for toppings, and I like just a little mayo and lots of lettuce, and it's always a comforting memory from when I was a kid in Indiana. The service is fast and the prices good, and I've always liked their drive-thru for waving people to the side when they've had to wait for their order to be made to order. The food is always hot and fresh.
Its just fine. Lots of grease for a mushroom and grilled onion burger. The cheese curds are good. The fries were ok, I specifically asked for fresh and hot fries and I still got the ones that were sitting there that were barely warm. Also it looked like I got charged to remove the Swiss cheese??
I read a review that said the burgers at Culver's were better than at In-N-out Burger and the fries were better too. I had never been to a Culver's so we tried it tonight. I agree with the review. My burger was indeed better and the crinkle fires were better than In-N-Outs as well. Culver's is sort of a hybrid fastfood and sit down place, which I like better as well... We had a nice comfy booth...and they bring your food to your table which was very nice!!! I will be back for sure, as there appear to be lots of other wonderful things to try !!!
This place is super accommodating and so great at getting our tricky order correct (we have food allergies!). They always wave to and greet my kids. That means a lot to them! On Wednesdays, after 4pm, you get a free kids meal with the purchase of an adults meal.
