Opted for this property to save some money, but it turned out to be a mistake. Upon check-in, the receptionist at the desk was surprisingly rude without any apparent reason. Despite not smoking, we were sternly informed about a no-smoking policy. (As we came in 2 women were smoking right next to front entrance. No smoking was definitely not enforced) Our simple request for a ground floor room was denied due to booking through a third party app, claimed it's against their policy. There are no elevators, and the hallways were also unkempt. The initial night felt reminiscent of my college dorm days with loud music, eventually ceasing after a complaint. The rest of the stay was thankfully uneventful. However, there was no breakfast despite being advertised, and amenities like laundry, ice, and vending machines faced issues. There was a small refrigerator in room but no microwave or coffee machine. Attempts to request extra towels and toilet paper were unsuccessful due to the absence of staff at the desk, leaving another guest waiting for check-in over 20 minutes. Make sure you check out at 11:00am, if not the front desk person will come bang on doors. I overheard him telling one customer that they charged $30 for every 30 minutes past 11:00am check-out. My advice: Spend the extra money and opt for a different place. The only positive aspect was the bed - clean and surprisingly comfortable.
There was no update to the website. We chose our hotels carefully. Breakfast has not and was said there was no breakfast served for our stay. If they know they don't have breakfast after it being apart of the reservation how do we comped for money spent on a service not provided? Definitely won't stay here again.
Price, staff, and location were great! But... I woke up the first morning with itching, figured it was maybe a reaction to new laundry detergent. Woke up in the lay day with 5 big welts in a line on my hand(typical from bed bugs). Moved my pillow, found a big bed bug, and brought it down to the front desk. The guy did there was nothing he could do except for notify the manager who wasn't going to be in until Monday.
Staff was rude it looks like the majority of the staff lives on the property. I have been here several times and each room is horrible there was only one room that was actually cleaned. Seems like most guests are here long term.
They took my stuff and refused to replace it. I have stayed here for many night probably around 100 over the past year and a half. This last one was it for me though. I travel for work and work a lot. I can care less about staying somewhere nice, that's why I chose this place to stay cause I'm cheap. in the middle of my stay the hotel slid a paper under my door saying that they will need access to my room to do pest control and if a "do not disturb" sign is up or you refuse to let the pest person in you will be charged to have them come back out again to do so. I'm not 100% sure but pretty sure that is illegal maybe it's not but no info was given about this at check in. They had no idea what was being sprayed in the rooms and they refused to say they had a pest problem. they say they do this every month but i have never received a note like that before. they told me since they are completely booked up that they need to do this. I call B.S but ok. Anyway I decided not to fight it. they did their thing when I was working. I came back and found that my coffee pot box was gone(they don't have coffee pots in the room). I know its petty but it's my stuff that they took and through away, and again I travel for work and my pot will break if not in its box. I informed the front desk person of this matter. they came to my room a few minutes later with my box, they found it in the trash. I was not going to except that, that's disgusting. The general manager told me the next day that he will refund $5. The pot at Walmart is $10. I told him go buy it keep the pot I'll take the box, or just refund the amount so I can go get it. He refused and his attitude about it was pretty much " it's your problem" and that's all we are going to do. I was pissed and I let him know it. his feelings were hurt so he called the cops. I left. THEN HE REFUNDED THE NIGHT BACK TO ME!!!! that's over $60 all I wanted was $10. He is a complete idiot. It makes no sense. Thousands of dollars I gave them and was quite minded my own business and put up with the odd stuff. I read through the reviews and it's all true not a great place to stay but just needed a place to rest and do computer work so I didn't care. All I wanted was my coffee pot box back.
