We've been eating here for the last 9 years at least once a month, often once a week. We love Vicky (owner)and the food! The food is great when you get what you order. However, her male server has provided at least 5 incorrect orders for us now. The last time I went he made a mistake and I told Vicky, the owner. Vicky apologized after I waited over an hour to get my meal but you could tell he didn't care that he made another mistake. Today he brought a chimichanga to my mom that wasn't fried. I told him it didn't look like the chimichanga was fried and he laughed and walked away. You can look at the picture and see that the burrito wasn't fried, not a chimichanga. I always tip at least 20 percent but not this time, no tip. I told Vicky we wouldn't go back again if he was our server and she shrugged. I hate to write this review but this is not improving.
It was my 1st time there and last too. The food was bland for a Mexican food. The plate was so huge but the portion was too little. The chicken and shrimp was too dry. I ordered one taco with pork it was horrible there was no flavor whatsoever. Salsa was too watery and there was no flavor it was just too spicy. The Mexican rice was too bland too and literally there was so little rice and was covered by lettuce to make it bigger portion. However, the server was pretty nice . Very disappointing experience.
I haven't stayed to eat yet, but I've ordered take out 3 times since the end of May. Each order was DELICIOUS! I have bellied up to the bar to enjoy a margarita while I wait for an order. Not only is the food delicious, but the margaritas are divine! I've had great experiences with friendly staff each time I've gone to order/pick up a take away. The portions are LARGE, and they always include chips and salsa to enjoy! I highly recommend this business!
I took our entire family here for an early dinner. The food was very authentic, and the portions were very sufficient. The best part of all was our beautiful, efficient, attentive, gal that brought us out chips and delicious salsa and drinks. She was so efficient and helpful. She saw to all of our needs, and always with a beautiful smile. This is certainly a place we will return to to make more memories.
Where to begin. It was my first time there today, and my last. We got seated there fairly quick, but took a few minutes before anyone came by. Looking around the place it seemed small. Also, not to sound bad, but I didn't see any Mexicans people in there aside from staff. I am Mexican and for me if I don't see any of us around I start to wonder if the food is going to be good. Who know maybe I just missed them if they were there. We finally get some chips and salsa, it was pretty watery and had no taste but like a spicy chili powder. I had order the hacienda plate and my gf had ordered the Pollo asada y Mas. The steak was over cooked, which is easy since it is really thin and doesn't take long to cook and had no flavor beside the open flame taste. The chicken was overcooked as well and same thing, bland. The shrimps, you guessed right, overcooked and bland. My gf food same thing bland all the way around. I mean the beans were ok but really, how can you mess up beans. The service was great, she came around refilled drinks pretty quick and was super friendly. Overall though, was not impressed. There are a few better Mexican restraunts just a few minutes away in Longmont, ex casa agave is amazing.
