Good coffee, but the wait can be interminable even when there's no line, and the owner/manager doesn't make very good espresso drinks, which just seems strange. We ended up with really milky and kinda burnt cappuccinos the couple times he made them for us. The place is cute, and their pastries are always good, so I think they could really take off if they'd just hire an extra barista and maybe kept the kitchen looking a little neater. Shabby chic is a cute look for the main dining area, but I wouldn't be surprised if some people were turned off by the mismatched and cluttered kitchen; it just doesn't come across as very sanitary.
I’ve been to Luna 4 or 5 times in the last 6 months. There is usually a long line, and the service is slow. Plan to wait 20 min or more. I only drink iced coffee and about half the time the toddy isn’t ready yet, and even when they do have it in stock it’s bitter and not very strong. Wish they’d just stock actual cold brew! One of the few good things about this place is that their baked goods are delicious and they have GF options.
I absolutely love(d) this place when the younger people worked the desk- they were fun and nice. The older couple now since covid seem like they hate being here. Food and environment still wonderful but the people behind the counter make it hard to enjoy any longer- looking for a new spot.
A lot of these reviews seem to be about the service and how they were not acknowledged upon arrival. When I went in, it was a 1 in/1 out system so I had to wait outside which was perfectly fine. When I walked in there, the one gentleman who was running the whole shop was assisting someone else, since there are two different counters to wait at. I understood that the single man behind the counter was busy so it did not acknowledge me because they were helping another customer - that is completely fine. Then when the man got done and came to help me he was pleasant and the everything bagel and my latte was fantastic. It makes me sad to see that a lot of these reviews about the customer service are negative. It's a small shop and the man seemed like he was overwhelmed but was doing his best to keep every order coming out just right. Please be patient with small businesses during this time - they may not be able to afford more help and they're overworked and underpaid. I would definitely recommend this place.
Good as always but I wish they had move vegan friendly options. It's about time :) I'd be happy to see the same breakfast burrito but with vegan cheese and sausage etc.
