Short version: this restaurant is worthy of support! So, stop by! You won’t be sorry. Want a little more? Then please, read on… I’m proud to call Next Door American Eatery my neighborhood restaurant. If I didn’t already live nearby, I’d move here. No matter what I order I’m always happy with my meal. What brings me even more pleasure are the people! The service is unmatched. Today, someone on staff (a person I’d never met before) surprised me with one of those random acts of kindness that restores your faith in humanity. I’m so grateful to have such nice neighbors! Their dedication during these difficult times has inspired my devotion. I think they will impress you too. Kindness matters. #BoulderStrong.
Loved the atmosphere and the futuristic aspect of ordering through an app. I tried the Thai salad and it was amazing! Hannah was a great server and constantly checked in on me. Great service and highly recommend!!
Hannah recommended the fried chicken sandwich and my girlfriend tried the Thai salad. Both were great and we really appreciated Hannah's professionalism! We are sure to be back because of her extraordinary service along with the superb food!
The food and service was soooo good! The cocktails were also very tasty. We’ll definitely be going there again next time we’re in town!
Disappointing to be sure. Went to this "American Eatery" and sat on the patio and used the contactless ordering. It's an app that you have to install on your phone, not a web page with the menu. You order using the app and can pick and choose your add-ons. App works well but you have to tip before even getting your order, so very backwards. My advice: don't tip in the app, just leave a few bucks on the table. Waiter "Brett" came around and explained how things worked. He was nice and very accommodating. For an "American Eatery", the only "American" meals were the fried chicken sandwich, and the cheese burger, but you can't get American cheese on the burger, it's not even an option. Best things on the menu (that we saw other people ordering) were carnitas tacos (only corn tortillas, flower tortillas aren't available as an option) or the falafel - both not very American options. My wife ordered the carnitas tacos and the hush puppies. We both ordered a $5 beer each (no standard beer options, all are microbrew options and most of them are very hoppy or bitter). I couldn't find anything on the menu I wanted to spend the money on, so I went across the play area and got a sub sandwich from Jersey Mike's. I got back with my sub sandwich after going to Jersey Mike's and waiting in a pretty long line there before any drinks or food had come to our table. When our food finally came, they didn't bring the drinks. We had to remind them that we ordered something to drink I asked for a water too and after only bring one water, the waiter asked my wife, "oh, did you want a water too?" Aack! The waiter blamed the drink synchronization issue on the app, but you'd think that if they're serving us food and we didn't have drinks that it would be obvious to at least go check on the drinks without having to be told, right? Wife's carnitas tacos were good and she enjoyed them. The diameter of the taco shell was about the same diameter as an apple or orange. They weren't very large. She got 3 of them in her order. My wife's hush puppies were more like baked cheese balls. Not typical hush puppies but were tasty. There were three of them all golf ball sized. The beers were small - served in a small plastic cup like you'd get on an airplane. My wife ate her tacos, half of the hush puppies and we both only drank about 1/2 of or beers each. My wife's tacos, hush puppies and two smallish beers with an 18% tip came to $37. Ouch! My "giant" sub at Jersey Mike's was $15. I could only eat half of it and it was awesome. Oh, don't forget to uninstall the app from your phone when you leave. We won't be returning.
